Accessibility

TradeBench is designed to be usable by everyone. We're committed to building a platform that works for people of all abilities.

Our commitment

We aim to meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards across the platform. This means building with proper structure, clear contrast, keyboard support, and screen reader compatibility from the start — not as an afterthought.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. As TradeBench grows, we continuously test and improve the experience for users with different needs and abilities.

What we build for

Color and contrast

Text meets WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios. Interactive elements have clear focus states. We don’t rely on color alone to communicate meaning.

Keyboard navigation

All core actions — posting opportunities, submitting quotes, managing connections — are accessible via keyboard. Tab order follows a logical flow.

Screen readers

We use semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and proper heading structure so screen readers can navigate the platform effectively.

Responsive design

TradeBench works on any screen size — phone, tablet, or desktop. No app store required. The interface adapts to your device.

How we do it

Accessibility is built into our development process, not patched in later.

  • Semantic HTML elements for proper document structure
  • Descriptive link text and button labels
  • Form labels and error messages tied to inputs
  • Skip navigation links for keyboard users
  • Alt text on meaningful images
  • Consistent, predictable navigation patterns

What we're still improving

TradeBench is in beta. We're honest about what's still in progress.

  • Expanding screen reader testing across all platform features
  • Adding more granular keyboard shortcuts for power users
  • Improving mobile touch target sizes throughout the app
  • Testing with assistive technology users during beta
